Dr. Mary delivers bad news!

About two weeks ago we started noticing that Akins belly button was beginning to grow. At first we thought oh, it is just as a result of too much food over the holidays, but after it did not settle back down I took him back the the surgeon who performed his surgery and she confirmed that his hernia has recurred and he will require surgery AGAIN. Of course we knew he was high risk for recurrence but never dreamed it would be so soon. Surgery is scheduled for 1/11 and explaining this to him is going to be difficult because in his mind he already has a new belly button and is fine with it. The lack of trust for doctor's continues to grow and the appointment yesterday left that examine room in a shambles, with chairs and the big table itself out of place from all the kicking, screaming, biting and swinging.
